Donna was born in 1917 to Hugh Donald McLeod the youngest brother of John C. and Robert Rowan McLeod.

Donna spent many years of her life researching both her families genealogy as well as the wreck of the Marquette & Bessemer No. 2.
She had hoped to find the wreck in her lifetime and she spent almost 20 years researching it, but like so many others she was not able to see her dream fulfilled.

I hope by creating this site I can do justice to her memory and possibly spur others into joining her dream that someday the wreck will be found.
